  33.     The problem is you already have a TCP/IP stack running; NFS runs
  34. over UDP over IP. You can have only one TCP/IP stack running over a single
  35. lan adapter in a DOS machine. So far as I am aware Sun (or your NFS vendor)
  36. provides no common "terminal-like" interface such as 3COM(BAPI) for that 
  37. stack, and hence MS-DOS Kermit has no way of using that stack rather than 
  38. its own internal one. We do mention this in the MSK documentation.
  39.     Beame and Whiteside make a PC-NFS solution, and MS-DOS Kermit
  40. knows how to talk to their TCP/IP stack. That's not the case with Sun's
  41. PC-NFS product.
  42.     The cheap quick safe solution is put a second Ethernet board in
  43. the clients, assign a unique IP number to it (not the same as for the
  44. first board), then load a Packet Driver or Novell's ODI, and then run 
  45. MS-DOS Kermit. Boards are cheap these days, if there is a free slot.
